An elderly man found dead inside his Staten Island home with the words “I touch little girls” scrawled across his bare chest was beaten to death, authorities have determined.
An autopsy on victim Robert Raynor, 80, showed he suffered from blunt force trauma to the head and body before he died. The city Medical Examiner has ruled his death a homicide, officials said Wednesday.
Raynor was found shirtless face up with his hands stretched over his head in the first-floor hallway of his home on Corson Ave. in Tompkinsville about 9:30 a.m. Monday, police said. No arrests have been made.
Someone had written “I touch little girls” in black marker on his chest as well as “I take dolls in my room for girls age 1-5″ on his stomach, a witness confirmed Tuesday.

“I saw him lying there. I didn’t get too close. The man was just dead,” Isaac Williams, 40, who lives in an apartment upstairs and found the body, told The Daily News Tuesday. “What was written on his chest was just disrespectful.”
Investigators believe Raynor’s body was dragged from his rear first-floor apartment, sources said.

Raynor also had the words “I touch” written on one foot, sources with knowledge of the investigation said.
The senior had a criminal record but was never arrested for any sex offenses, officials said. He does not appear in the New York state sex offender registry or a national sex offender registry run by the Department of Justice.

Raynor was first arrested in 1987 when he was charged with two assaults. He was arrested for assault again in 1992 and drug possession in 1996, sources said.
He was arrested repeatedly over the next 20 years but for minor offenses that are sealed. His last arrest was in 2014, sources said.
Neighbors said Raynor was disabled, needed a walker to get around and complained about his arthritis.
“Friday, he said to me, ‘The Lord is not ready for me yet,’” neighbor Monique Simon said. “Those were his very words. I guess now it’s between him and God.
