Put Curry on the Mavs and he’s Damian Lilard.

That system suits him perfectly, and he has the best role players in the NBA for help, plus a top 3 player in Durant.

When a player is in a system that flatters them, they can appear better than what they are. Remember Nash when Pringles was in PHX? IT last year with Brad Stevens?

Facts

Hell, Wade's best scoring season tops Steph's (30.2 vs 30.1, barely but still). Wade did that without a true #2 scoring threat while being a hound on defense. GS system puts Curry in the best position to succeed compared to Wade who had a young Spo still tryna figure the game out.

Wade wasted his prime years on trash teams. That 06 title team was :flabbynsick: as fukk and he still won.

Against THAT Celtics squad too

When you take into account efficiency/shots taken, difficulty of shots made, time scored and the insurmountable leads that he single-handily created, it most certainly doesn't. Curry had a top-5 OAT offensive season in '15/'16 - Wade doesn't have one to match that.

p.s. Wade was on some other, other shyt in that Boston/Heat series. Probably his peak form. :ohlawd:

Not true...

Let's put it in perspective.

Stephen Curry has led the league in True Shooting percentage...twice...as a 6'3 guard...he is the smallest player ever to lead the league in TS...that's how well he can score.

Wade has never done that. Wade isn't anywhere near the scorer that Stephen Curry. Very few NBA players are.

Stephen Curry is a top 5 all time offensive talent.

Versatility doesn't mean shyt..

All Shaq could do is a hook shot and a drop step.

All Charles Barkley could do is run in transition, get putbacks and face up.

But they were so dominant at it...it doesn't matter.

Carmelo Anthony is one of the most versatile scorers the league has ever seen...but he is no where near the scorer of Lebron James...who people think is limited...but it doesn't matter if you can dominate your opponent.

Stephen Curry dominates the perimeter with his jumpshot.

The man dropped averaged 30 points a with a near 67 TS...one of the most dominant seasons ever for any player...

The man this year dropped 26 points with a 675 TS....

And he does it less than 36 minutes...

That's a different level of scoring, that level of scoring is unprecedented....Wade isn't close that at all.

I know my post was vague (I'm tryna get ready for work) but my point was more so geared towards the system. Steph is a more beneficiary of what's around him than Wade was in his prime. Wade spent his best years surrounded by :trash: and/or :flabbynsick: while Curry has had the luxury of being in a system tailor made to suit his talents. I fukk with Steph too so its not a shot at him, I'm just comparing the circumstances. Wade did more with less.

I do agree with you that we need to stop comparing careers that are still going on. Idk why folks can't wait til players retire so you can look at an entire body of work

PS- I brought up the ppg to nitpick :lolbron: :yeshrug:

Who was the leader of that team his 2nd and third years?

You mean when Monta was still 'leading' the team (in Steph's 2nd year) and then (in year 3) when Steph only played 26 games?

This wasn't Steph's team until they traded Monta for Bogut....and that's when things started turning for the Dubs...

EDIT: I've got no dog in this fight vs D Wade......

Not only is this ducktales, but it's disingenuous to use this as a definitive scale, especially since no other perimeter player in NBA history was guarded like Curry was in his first two Finals'. Furthermore, why do y'all use series', and not teams/schemes as the argument?

Save the juelzing for the currysexuals homie :comeon:
