Not the best move for Curry in my opinion. I was looking forward to buying his signature NIKE shoe one day. Even worse for Nike, though. They let another one slip away. Why are they not trying to pay these NBA stars?:mindblown:

Unless they have plans to make an Air Steph, whats the difference between him and [insert other young upstart player] that can wear their shoe?

Wait until them Zoom Air Young Sabo Max Uptempos come out though :youngsabo:

yea, its crazy how he leaves just as he becomes healthy and has a break out All-Star year. Nike would look real dumb. UA makes some nice commercials so I'll be looking forward to it.

Smart move, he'd never get a frontline shoe under Nike and UA probably paid out nicely.

Nike Brand is basically Kobe/Lebron/Durant ... and even when Kobe retires, I doubt he'd be the first one to get a signature line. He'd always be in the whatever team Hyper/Lunar's of the year would be.

He coulda transferred out like Melo/Blake/CP3/Sabo to Jordan Brand just to get a signature shoe, but all of them ended up with poverty shoes.

Does UA even have a basketball roster? Or is he the first signee?

I don't blame Curry for leaving Nike. He's had nothing but ankle problems while wearing them. Nike tried to develop special shoes just for his ankle but they never could get it right. Probably just wants to break the curse and UA throwing him a bunch of money to come over made the decision easier.

+1 to everything said here. It's not like his ankle did well in Nike's historically. I know he went to Nike campus to get a custom shoe ... but he's always played in Hyperfuses which are basically 2nd tier shoes. Don't get me wrong, they're great for balling, but he shoulda had at least something custom and something in the 1st tier.

Looking at the UA roster, he's automatically #1 and 1st tier. He should be the face of the 1st tier PG/SG shoe a la D.Rose for Adidas.

Yeah, Nike is really struggling......

they kind of are when it comes to signing YOUNG talent. Adidas has them beat. UA is on the come up. Yea, Nike has Lebron and Durant, but from a competiton standpoint letting Curry, Wall, Rose and Lillard (who was originally with Nike I believe) go else where can come back to bite them. Thats just to name a few. Next thing you know Kyrie Irving signs with FILA :bryan:...... just like Grant Hill. :leon:
