Chauncey Billups is what the Knicks need.

Anything else and we're screwed.
I haven’t seen Billups name tossed around much.

I just wonder if he would consider playing for Dolan. I mean he dipped on Gilbert and his BS lowball offer. I imagine working under Dolan could be a lot worse.

At the very least you bring in Jackson to change the culture of the team ala Gs.
Then, ala Gs try to create or find a coach who has a grasp on up'n the progress Jackson has provided.

I want Jackson to get a job just to get him out of the broadcast booth but its a terrible idea for whoever hires him.

That was for President of Basketball Operations. He knew it would be in title because of Gilbert and Bron. And even then Bron can leave at any moment.

That's stress.

Over here in NY Dolan isn't really hands on anymore. He never made us implement offenses or defensive schemes. He got rid of Phil because KP was in trade rumors.

The problem with the Knicks is moves by the GM or president. Hopefully they have some continuity with Perry but we need that coach.

It's full reins for Billups if he gets it at this point.

Fizzdale couldn't get along with Marc Gasol and Knicks fans trust him with KP? Y'all must really hate Mark Jackson.

The Grizzlies fired David Fizdale on the heals of Gasol expressing frustration for a fourth-quarter benching and reportedly having minimal communication with Fizdale over the previous several months.

A disconnect between Gasol and his coach wasn’t unique, either.

Ronald Tillery of The Commercial Appeal:

There was a particularly rough patch during the Grizzlies’ 2015-16 season — coach Dave Joerger’s final campaign at the helm — when a level of paranoia crept into the coaching staff.

Joerger approached the team’s beat writer in an unusually frank manner with a major concern during the middle of a west coast trip.

“I think Marc’s trying to get me fired,” Joerger said, referring to Marc Gasol.

Fizdale wasn’t the problem, Joerger went through this too. Gasol is a certified coach killer.

Mark Jackson is a shytty coach and it ain’t surprising that Stephen A Smith would recommend him. We’re talking about this nikka:

Marc Gasol doesn't come across as the most easygoing player. He was playing like shyt in a game and the second string guys earned more minutes by competing and he immediately ran to the media and cried about being benched. He has always been overrated but his inability to see that he is washed makes him difficult to coach.

I would take fizzdale over MJ if those are the two choices. MJ is more motivational speaker than tactician and I think fizzdale is both.

Makes sense that y’all decide to take that attitude when he recommends hiring a Black coach with a great record/resume.
:comeon:

We do realize we have the most black front office in the NBA. Steve Mills, Allan Houston, Scott Perry, Clarence Gaines, Craig Robinson.

You do realize we’re heavy in the pursuit of Jerry Stackhouse and David Fizdale right?

You do realize Mark Jackson has a terrible reputation around the league?

Once again: It does not matter who the head coach is, the problem with the Knicks starts at the TOP of the organization.

JAMES DOLAN
Dolan isn’t hands on anymore, hasn’t been in quite some time now.
