27/7/6 4 turnovers a game on 46/42% 62TS in 35 minutes a game

Good numbers but hardly historic. Without Iggy hes basically Damian Lillard. He misses FMVP and those numbers dont account for all his shtty defense getting exposed without Iggy recovering from his gambles and Iggy protecting the perimeter defense after Steph puts them in a bad position like last night gambling on the inbound for IT to get easy goahead to ice the game. Steph isnt on the level of the top tier playmakers/ball handlers. Hes too turnover prone and isnt a technical playmaker, Iggy and Draymond are better and allow Steph to play more Reggie Miller off screens

KD without his ballhandling guard in Westbrook in 2014: 35/8/6 4 turnovers a game on 53/40% on 65TS in 37 minutes a game

Steph isnt on the level of the elite perimeter peaks of the recent era. Hes in the perfect situation to maximize his stats when his team is completely healthy. Iggy gives GS an elite transition game and elite ballhandling for easier shots for Steph offball. KD>>>offball. He doesnt need a top playmaker like Draymond or even Iggy to impact the game.

Stephs scoring SUFFERS without Iggy IMMENSELY, FMVP.

I don't think anyone think Steph is better than LeBron or Durant with all being equal so yeah, injuries to the core pieces will hurt Steph monster level impact.

Those numbers are incredible man. Only players to have averaged 27 ppg on 62% TS are Durant, Barkley, LeBron, Malone, Dantley and now Curry. Never has the likes of Damian Lillard reached that level of offensive dominance, he probably never will.

He doesn't get volume assists b/c he plays in an equal opportunity offense (Something Westbrook & Wall do not and would be an awkward fit for) spending a lot of his time working without the ball. In reality he's one of the best playmakers in the NBA.

It is true that Curry's off ball talents are maximized by being surrounded by great passers, and he's much less of an isolation dominant player compared to Durant who is arguably the greatest on ball scorer in league history. That said it shouldn't take away from him in comparison to KD who isn't nearly as good of an off ball player to begin with, and that's an actual gap in skill that can be used to decide between the two as players (Not to mention playmaking). You may need to do more in order to get the best of Curry, but that's the entire purpose of building around a franchise player and the upside is that his peak surpasses that of what we've seen from Durant.

Reminds me a bit of Dirk & the various all time discussions he's involved in with other dominant PF's. You definitely needed to put a good defensive center next to him (Bradley, Dampier/Diop, Chandler) but that wasn't so difficult an accommodation that it should slight him in comparison to the likes of Karl Malone. Its just a part of team building itself.

But i understand OP point

Few weeks ago all u would hear is Steph is breaking numbers... Iggy goes out and we don't hear peep bout his struggles.. Whereas Durant Westbrook and lebron have been killing it

still great numbers but yeah the comparisons to KD are unfair. KD is an all time great scorer, physically he's basically unblockable.

SMH @unc almost getting KD there instead of Texas. We would've been cookin everyone.

He didn't gamble on that inbound pass to IT, that wasn't even his original cover, someone else lost their assignment, he came off his man to play the passing lane and almost stole the ball, IT still had to convert a tough layup against Green's defense.

Curry is the most impactful player in the league. Best player is a subjective term
