Steve Francis, ex-Rockets star, wanted for burglary in Florida
According to Houston’s KTRK-TV, Francis, who was back in police custody after Saturday’s DWI charge, is facing extradition to Manatee County, Fla. after he allegedly stole $7,252 in jewelry, cash and other items outside a restaurant there on June 15. He is now reportedly out on bond for the burglary charge.
Francis, 39, who played for parts of two seasons with the Knicks after spending the prime of his career with the Rockets, allegedly asked a bartender working at the Bradenton restaurant for a flashlight before breaking into a BMW parked outside, according to a police report obtained by TMZ.
