But if what he's saying is true and can be proven, the IRS will actually work with him. I owed money based on a clerical error from an old job where they were withholding money on my check but not actually paying it to the IRS and they came after me for it years later. My w2s even showed that I paid but they ended up canceling the debt and going to the company directly. I assume they'll do the same here but obviously it was nowhere near 22 million, it was like 12 gs.
