The Warriors had a much lower ceiling with Jackson because he was too proud to admit his weaknesses or allow someone to help him.

The Warriors won 36 games the year before they hired Mark. Three seasons later they won 51, a 15 win increase. Kerr saw a 16 win increase in his first year alone. The difference in the offense was night and day. They went from a #6 seed who lost in the first round to a team that was being debated as the best team of all time.

Kerr admitted he used a lot of what Jackson had been using defensively because he is secure with himself. And he hired good assistants without idiotic paranoia that they'd upstage him. That's why he is an NBA coach right now and Mark Jackson isn't.

Mark Jackson got a high paying commentating job without being good at it, he was handed a head coaching job without having to work his way up, then he was again hired to the same commentating job he isn't good at. There are better people to feel sorry for. God obviously doesn't want him to be a coach.

Defense was never the problem. It was always the shytty offense and lineups. They were last in the league in passing with Jackson. shytty iso plays and quick shots. Running lineups of Iggy, Bogut, and Lee :scust:
