People use that knowledge like this to make betting decisions. Its the same reason why you can't fake injury reports in the NFL

Injury reports and starting lineups are pretty different, though. Would changing a starting lineup in basketball move the line or affect the over/under by even half a point?

Iggy is right now being regarded as the front runner to win the MVP award if GS was to win the series..

I think Inserting the "MVP" of the team into the starting lineup for Bogut who has been playing like garbage is a pretty big deal. So yes on the point spread.. And it affects pace big time so yes on the over/under front

People switch lineups all of the time, but lying about it seems to be going above and beyond the norm.

you were betting on who would be in the starting lineup?

No I took the Cavs spread once I saw the same lineup from the Warriors. If I knew they were gonna go small I wouldn't bet on the Cavs. Clearly nobody here has ever bet on a game. Unless you in Vegas no online sports book is gonna offer a line on what the starting lineup is especially for a team that had the same starting 5 for 95 percent of the season.
