After watching the trailer I thought this might be a parody but he is dead serious. He shyts on Van Damme, he shyts on Michael Jai White, pretends not to know Jason Statham's name. At a couple of points he forgets English :lolbron: and is caught up in Japanese words :pachaha:. He also gives his opinion of Vladimir Putin :deadmanny:.

If you're an action flick/MMA fan you might enjoy this. I think it's worth listening to the whole 50 minutes just to hear him say Kazakhstan.

Full 50 minute interview

I heard about that story too, Van Damme called him out to the backyard and Seagal left. Van Damme then found him in the club but Seagal didn't want none.

Funny thing is that Seagal is a 7th degree black belt but never ever fought anybody. JCVD and even Dolph Lundgren actually fought in tournaments.

The arrogance and lack of self-awareness is hilarious. Duke is up there talking about his movies like he's on Inside the Actors Studio.

Halfway through. Good interview. Steven Seagal is one of the strangest dudes I've ever seen. Like, I don't know if he's a complete douchebag a$$hole, or just a humble guy living life. He plays both sides very well.

Like, when talking about his martial arts skills, you can see both shine through. He plays the humble man, in that he doesn't think he's achieved nearly what he wants, and he talks about wanting to constantly learn. But at the same time, he's got that side where, "now, I don't think we should go into this", and "trust me, I know it works" (cue ball in the rag), and "I've had to test Aikido hundreds of times on the streets" (directly after claiming that he learned the secret arts of Aikido dealing with killing ppl).

Also, he talks about meeting Bruce Lee...says that Bruce was the type of person that was known to be critical (in a sarcastic way) of other Martial Artists, and other Martial Arts outside of his own. But then right after that, he says that Bruce took a liking and interest in him (Seagal), and in Aikido.

I just don't know. Also, as far as Van Damme and Jai White...he was asked what hollywood tough guy would he feel most comfortable with in a fight. He discounted both of those guys ("Can I laugh in your face?"...then saying he didn't wanna get into that on film), saying that neither of them are tough guys, or martial artists. Then asked about Chuck Norris, and he evaded the question by saying he's in his mid 70's at this point.

Also, he wouldn't talk about the Gene LeBell rumor (about how it's been reported that he choked Seagal out) at all on film, saying he didn't wanna give him any publicity. Said they met once, all they ever did together was stretch, and he never choked him out in any shape or form. Called him a "pathological liar and scumbag".

lol, another quick point and I'll stop: says he was in Kazakhstan "the other day (maybe 6 months ago), and there's a big" (he says something in Japanese, saying "how would you say it in English"?...Convention was the word he wanted). So he's at this convention, and all the old Sempai (term for high ranking Martial Artist) were there. And he walks in, and there's like a hush, and they're all in awe: "whoa, he's here, he's here". And he says they made him sit with all the other Masters, and they introduced HIM as THEIR Sempai.

I don't if I should :laff:, :what:, :snoop: or :ohhh:

Ok, I lied, one more. Again the humble/douchebag a$$holeness shining through: asked about how many techniques are out there that noone knows about, "thousands, hundreds of thousands. I don't wanna say I know much, cause I really don't know nothing, but I've forgotten more techniques than most other ppl learn".

Also, I think took a shot at Dana White on the low. Said he doesn't like the whole interviewing/beefing that the ppl in MMA do. Said it's a disgrace to Martial Arts, and that maybe some ppl are being egged on to do it for publicity.

Also, like the teaser shows: was asked about how fast he was. Said that they should ask Lyoto or Spider that question. Then asked if he felt was as fast as he was even 10 years ago, and said "maybe faster".

When he couldn't say it in English I lost it :pachaha:

He is out of his mind and I hope he's in The Expendables 3 so we can see more of his interviews.

You gotta remember, misinformation is part of martial arts. He thinks he's slyly building himself up in the eyes of the outside world, which adds to his strength, it's another way to "win" I don't think he knows how stupid and corny he looks though.

lol the man is a buffoon, he's been making a fool of himself for years, some of you are bigger fans of martial arts and Seagal in general, I guess, he dude is a jackass. He takes himself WAY too seriously and is a total jerk, just watch that interview. 'Can I laugh in your face'? When he took that shot at Al Gore, and the global warming....from a fukking speech in a bullshyt action movie :laff: He hosted SNL in the early 90's, and refused to be made fun of, he's infamous for this arrogant and out of touch behavior....wtf is that company interviewing him a british host, with an Italian last name in Arizona?

Also, 'Is there a weapon in this room right now'? done.

This dude is clearly Australian. We don't wanna be associated with this kiss ass in England.

However you're right, this interview is so fukking weird.
