PBC starts off the boxing season with a Jan 12th Toe 2 Toe Tuesday card
That card will be followed by another one the following week
It's looking like these Tuesday night fights will become a weekly staple
So I'll update the thread weekly and keep a history of the results like last year
PBC picking up where USA Tuesday Night Fights left off :obama:

After taking care of Jose Luis Araiza back on December 20, 2014, Miguel Flores embarked a boxing sabbatical that lasted nearly six months. It’s safe to assume he enjoyed that downtime about as much as the average American enjoys a 40-hour work week.

How else can you explain the way Flores closed out 2015—with four bouts in the span of six months?

Obviously, the active schedule suited him well, as the 130-pound contender went 4-0 to run his record to 18-0 (9 KOs). Given that success, it’s no surprise that Flores is set for another quick return to the ring, as he battles Mario Briones (27-4-2, 20 KOs) on January 12 in a scheduled 10-round clash at Cowboys Dance Hall in San Antonio, Texas (Fox Sports 1, 11 p.m. ET/8 p.m. PT).

While an every-other-month pace might seem excessive for a fighter who’s well into his sixth year as a pro, it makes sense for Flores from this perspective: The 23-year-old native of Mexico hasn’t actually had a lot of ring work lately.

After kicking off his 2015 slate by winning one-sided, eight-round unanimous decisions over German Meraz (May 9) and Juan Ruiz (July 18), Flores needed just four rounds to dispatch Carlos Padilla on September 6, then knocked out Alfred Tetteh in the second round on November 10.

Flores figures to have a much tougher go of it against Briones, a 29-year-old veteran fighter from Aguascalientes, Mexico, who has 20 knockouts to his credit and has only been stopped once. That lone stoppage occurred in May 2014, when he suffered a first-round TKO defeat to Rodolfo Hernandez.

Briones has since rebounded with a pair of victories over Israel Lopez (10-round unanimous decision) and Edgar Gonzalez (third-round TKO). Those two bouts took place a year apart in November 2014 and 2015, respectively.

In fact, the biggest difference between Flores and Briones has been recent workload: While Flores will be fighting for the sixth time since May, Briones will be in action for just the third time in more than 20 months. Not that Briones is concerned about the disparity in activity, or the fact that Flores—who was born in Mexico but raised in Houston—will be working in his home state for the 17th time in his career.

“I am thankful for this opportunity, and I hope that my opponent is taking me very seriously,” Briones said. “This is going to be the hardest fight he’s ever been in. I’ve trained to go the distance, but we will be looking for a big knockout on January 12.”

For his part, Flores says he’ll be ready for whatever Briones brings to the table as he looks to maintain his perfect record and position himself for a title shot. “It’s an amazing feeling to be in this main event,” Flores said. “I am always in shape and ready to get into the ring. I promise a great show in San Antonio, and I can't wait to fight in front of the great boxing fans there.”
