Like I've been saying, i have no problem with people who believe in that, because I did at one point. And we all need to do certain things to help us get through our days and for some people, that's believing in God. People always talk about how many lives Religion has taken, but never talk about how many lives Religion has saved. There ARE people who have held on to life by a thread, and have had religion give them purpose in life. Religion has stopped murders, and suicide attempts, and abuse. So for all the bad it does, there is also some good that comes out of being religious.
I just don't think it should be at the forefront of the black community. That's my issue. When tragedies happen, and you have these black folks on TV talking more about forgiveness, than they do condemnation, it's a problem. It gives the perception that God fearing blacks speak for us all, and that's just not true. And it isn't fair. There's nothing strong about always taking the high road, that's a slave mind control tactic that goes back even before American slavery. Beat them, hit them, and teach them that retaliation isn't the answer. When in fact change, real change has only come with bloodshed. There is no significant, or very few for that matter, instances in human history where mass change was achieved through peace. If the enemy doesn't have consequence than why would he change? Think about all of the evil white people have done throughout American History, from slavery. To black Wall Street, to the assassination of Dr. King. What consequences have they faced? Property damage? That gets repaired with our taxes? For all of the bloodshed, mental enslavement and destruction, what has been their punishment? Docile, religious, black people are a problem. Just as big a problem as white supremacy, because they love to speak for us, and that taints the image of the black community.
So while religion has its social perks, there's NO reason for it to be at the forefront of our community. That's ridiculous.
