Sting fans, do you really think he was ready for the torch going into 98?

a lot of fans will tell you sting should have went over hogan clean at starrcade 97, that it was the "logical" end to the storyline.

but what is "logical" anyway? what does that even mean? why does sting have to win, because he's the good guy? is this supposed to be a work or a shoot? in team sports what wins the championship, the best storyline or the best team? conversely what is the goal for any wrestling company? to put people over or to keep making money? yes it would have been neat to see sting beat hogan clean for the title and hold onto it for awhile, but would he have drawn?

what's the next big money title match after hogan? sting-savage? sting-nash? sting-luger? THIS was going to outdraw austin and rock?

what about guys like ddp and goldberg? who makes them? sting? COULD he have?

we all know that's the biggest match sting has ever been in, but that might not even rank in hogan's top 5. so to say that sting was on top ALONG with hogan is just flat out false.

Sting was the franchise of WCW....the big dream match of the late 80s was Hogan vs Flair after the MegaPowers story. But of course we always wondered what would happen if Sting and Hogan were actually face to face.
