1. Work with other states to make sure the guns are'nt coming into NYC because as we've seen, the guns in NYC don't come from here, they come from down south.
2. Decriminalize marijuana possession, and not this silly "unspoken" bullshyt, make it so that a police officer is punished for wasting my fukking tax dollars on arresting someone with a few bags of herb on them.
3. VIDEO CAMERAS ON THEIR LAPELS/UNIFORMS
I would put my life on it that if NYC did these things, crime would PLUMMET in this city. But it won't happen because there's more money to be made and funding to be acquired if these three things are left unaddressed.
You address these issues and the cops will have less of a reason to harass young colored men for no justifiable reason. Thus creating a better rapport with the members of the community, who will no longer think to themselves that the police are more interested in meeting quotas and putting up good number than actually PROTECTING AND SERVING the community.
Or you could just keep hiring meatheads from the surrounding suburbs who are out of touch with reality let alone the community, are really just cavemen with badges, and who will further tarnish the already filthy record of the NYPD with more police brutality, more pointless unjustified arrests, and don't forget...chokeholds that are not really chokeholds but are really in fact...chokeholds.
