Fascists.
Authoritarians.

I find it funny how Republicans/Conservatives claim to be against tyranny and oppressive government, but they support the tyranny and oppressive governments.

:mjpls:

They aren't protecting the rights vunerable populations like women, minorities, old people, the poor, LGBTQ+ they protect the rights of rich/wealthy white men, christian evangelicals, and the right for white women to pump out as many white babies as possible.

I feel like by calling them Republicans/Conservatives you just normalize their fascist BS. You can't even name things they do to help people anymore cause they are just that deranged now.

:mjgrin:its amazing how similar(and venomous) the rhetoric on both sides has become.
Let's not do this.

It's like Americans are willfully ignorant or just the masters of cognizant dissonance.

People acted like we never learned about Hitler and Nazi Germany in school. Or Stalin. Or Mussolini. Why do Americans like to pretend like Republicans aren't actively bringing America dangerously closer to fascism than we've ever been? It's happening right now. Sorry to break it to you.

But I understand though...Americans like to think happy thoughts...and fascism is not a happy thought.

It's 2020. We have mass graves and concentration camps (ICE) in this country. I don't know what other conclusion to draw other than Republicans are fascists and Nazis. They actually have had legit nazis/white supremacists/white nationalists in their ranks (Stephen Miller anybody? Steve Bannon?). Open white supremacists and neo-nazis are running for office in this country under the Republican banner.

This isn't normal politics and it shouldn't be normalized.

Who built the camps?
Obama attempted to phaseout private prisons.

Dotard took office and immediately...
In 2017, Donald Trump signed an executive order to expand the border wall with Mexico and increase the building of detention centers. A memo from top Homeland Security officials published in 2017 outlines the goal to detain 85,000 illegal immigrants per day. Private prison companies benefit from Trump's strict stance on illegal immigrants because they are paid per inmate per day.[41] GEO Group and CoreCivic, the two largest private prison companies, are known financial supporters of Trump's campaign.[42] Both GEO Group and CoreCivic have released statements in support of Trump's new policies.[43]

So obama. Got it.

Edit : obama used to take to his nickname as "deporter in chief" as a badge of honor. Hell, hillary was showing off in debates how they turned away a caravan of immigrants back at the border to "send a message."

The kids in cages didnt start with trump.
