As far as seeding in the East goes you can put Chicago right at the top since they'll be looking to reclaim their Regular Season Championship Title but when the real season starts this team isn't even in the same sentence.
As Miami and Indiana.
Since the Thibodeau era they've been backdoor swept by Miami twice, meanwhile Indiana has taken superior Miami teams to 6 and 7 game series.
So why exactly is Chicago being put up on this pedestal? What have they done besides rack up regular season wins? I'm not hating on these guys because I admit their a top 4 team in the East. They still don't have a real second option. Which is ultimately going to lead to Bron being put on Rose while everyone else on the team gets ignored. Defensively Noah isn't the same force that Roy Hibbert is. Screaming after every open layup and dunk you score can only get you so far.
I just don't see them getting past the second round next year. I imagine the rankings will be like this:
1. Chicago
2. Indiana/Miami
3. Miami/Indana
4. Brooklyn
5. New York
6. Toronto
7. Cleveland
8. Washington
I see Chicago going all out in the regular season as usual. Unless they try to chase 72-10 I see Miami resting their players this regular season and battle Indiana for the 2 and 3 spots. I can't see Brooklyn getting higher than 4th since they'll be resting their main guys up for the playoffs. New York comes in 5th with the rest of the East's trash battling for 6-8.
