We started the wrestling that has been watered down in other countries. It was a rite of passage,a war survival skill, defending your tribe, nation, etc. The Romans made it gay as a way of sexual conquest (sometimes with young boys) and because other countries couldn't compete with us in sheer strength, they used other ways to keep up. BJJ uses transitions, catch wrestling, combat sambo, uses brute force. Y'all need to do your homework and stop thinking because not many of us practice it, it's not for us. I got all my kids in catch wrestling, even my 3yr old.

But I wholeheartedly agree. The best base in MMA is wrestling

Then I would say Muay thai and boxing. If you know how to wrestle and defend takedowns, know how to throw low-mid kicks and more importantly DEFEND against it, and know how to move your feet and strike/throw a proper punch like a boxer, you could do just fine in MMA/boxing.


Honestly, I didn’t even like TKD. I absolutely hated Karate. I liked their conditioning and was only taking it to learn defense. I barely even threw strikes in TKD, because I didn’t like their striking system too much. I loved boxing though and honestly, I know I would’ve done well in wrestling. I was too strong and flexible

Ppl share a meme with some arbitrary info, and their captioning post starts with “Y’all need to so and so and so…”, addressing everyone else as if they’re some intellectually superior being who’s schooling the rest of us. Whole time they’re sharing something they just happened to see on their feed while scrolling and it blew their mind my bad I’m rambling now.
