HHH ain't doing nothing that hasn't been SUCCESSFUL in the past. Austin feuding with Vince made Austin the star we know today. Now before you have a heart attack, I am not saying this will even sniff that amount of success, but the story will have a payoff. And no one will look back at this as this huge failed attempt to get Reigns over.

Just a small failed attempt to get him over. We'll still watch to see as this is interesting, chill.

Breh the payoff is a :flabbynsick: main event at the "biggest" Mania ever. A 15 minute spot fest with a fukkery ending. RR going over Haitch isn't gonna have any impact IMO:manny:

Lowkey If Haitch works on his cardio between now and then they might get past 15 minutes.

Actually wasn't that bad

But taking Roman out for most of the match made it transparently obvious to protect him

At least when the other favs got eliminated they were reasons for it and storylines set up (AJ, Brock, Jericho, Ambrose, Sami, Owens), last year it didnt feel like DB had anything going forward. This year with Brock, AJ and Owens and Zayn there is something there

But with Roman by taking him out of the Rumble its hard to make people feel sorry for him

But better than last year at least.

I didn't have any huge expectations on who might've won the rumble, but hhh winning the rumble was horrible.

Overall tho it was aight.

I thought the Rumble was a decent PPV :ehh:

Some nice matches and the Rumble match itself was largely more entertaining than the last 2 disasters. Having said that, HHH winning the rumble is not only a nod to his ego but a desperate attempt to get Roman Reigns permanently over without having to make any changes to his character, and doing it at the expense of people who could not only get over but could also provide exciting opposition against Reigns instead of HHH doing it himself.

Reigns isn't hated (I certainly don't hate Roman, I think he's a good in-ring performer, I do smh at his booking though which isn't his fault) but he isn't exactly as over as you would expect the top babyface to be. The truth is, a lot of people do not want to see him win, and that is not because he's a bad wrestler, but because WWE creative have done such a poor job in making fans across the board (smarks, marks and casuals alike) want to root for him IMO.

I'm relatively indifferent on Roman winning because it's a forgone conclusion - he's going to win anyway because WWE want him to, he's the chosen one. I just want to see if they make it remotely exciting and watchable.

I could see them having an ok match, not really concerned with that. It's just the story that is told to that point.

I can see this being a lazy Reigns Superman punching top starts all the way to Mania and them not really deviating from the same shyt they're doing now. Add some wrinkles to the formula at least: unlikely challenger stands in his way and comes back to burn him at Mania, Reigns finally has enough and snaps, Reings joins up with HHH and is crowned champion unceremoniously, just make us interested.
