I see a dearth of threads about Sexy Blue, and this gutter rapper or that trash actor. Some silly athlete, some morally bankrupt Instagram model.
In case y'all haven't put it together, this is part of an ongoing op to keep black folks thinking about and discussing the most base bullshyt and passing it off as "the culture."
It is designed to make you believe that the only way to succeed is by following unserious and unsophiscated people. You'll spend time debating the "culture" with other bottom of the barrel folks while humming along to gutter tunes that glorify cultural and physical genocide; eschewing education, erudition, and traditional habits that lead to long-term forms of success.
Next you'll be 50 years and will have achieved nothing serious in life. You're some bitter "old nikka" with no power or influence and no ability to do anything about it. You will not be respected by the youth or your peers. Your parents and grandparents (enablers) will be gone, so you will be all alone, thinking about all the years you wasted on nonsense.
Meanwhile Ling Ling and Venkat, MIT undergrads, just finished their internship at Waymo and have goals to work at a leading quant fund (Two Sigma, Renaissance Technologies, or Citadel).
They are also dating other Cambridge area undergrads and will soon be married, raising a family, and working on some cutting edge tech in Silicon Valley.
They are not better than you, they just took it seriously.
