Hope everyone prepares...
Hopefully it diminishes to Category 3 or even 2 by the time it hits land.

But crazy times ahead, next yr will be worse

The Arsenal
i'm in the city of orlando and i was a little bit worried when a ton of the models were predicting irma coming straight up the middle of the state and fukking us with no lube. now the models have shifted it eastward after it makes landfall in south florida and it's looking like i'll be spared any out of the ordinary winds for my area. a cold front that's developing in minnesota could potentially come through and make it even better, but i'm still keeping my fingers crossed because this far out shyt can change for good or bad the next few days. that's why i watch these hurricane paths and don't panic or relax a week before potential landfall because even if they're originally projected to be outside of your area they can shift and vice versa.

best of luck to my south florida family (got quite a few), brehs and brehettes. i hope they evacuate if they need to.

Question for you Brehs, do Hurricanes hit mainland U.S harder than Islands? It seems like the Caribbean islands are forever in the path of hurricanes but they don't sustain as much damage as the U.S mainland when Hurricanes finally make landfall in the U.S.

Is it because Islands have better natural barriers? Are the cities planned to better withstand Hurricane winds and flooding?

Or maybe i'm wrong and it's just hurricane damage from Island nations is not widely reported in the U.S.

flying to south florida tonight. my sister would ride this thing out unless someone drug her out. If it's coming for the tri-county area as a cat five we will be making the slow crawl evacuation

I was still living in Florida for Hurricane Wilma.. shyt was terrible. I remember I was on Flamingo Rd. and Sheridan in Pembroke Pines trying to get gas and the lines were MAD long. It took me like 5 hours just to get gas..

Everything is going to be ok as far as loss of life. Everyone has been forewarned quite well. Get out now. Shelters made available for those with nowhere to go.
The problem is going to be the money and rebuilding effort that might take years afterward but Floridians gonna ride this out regardless. Florida has money. Givt or no Govt they got mad billionaires out there that will make sure the state gets back up.
Im worried about the islands more.
