It's crazy...it's like nothing ever gets me down, but nothing ever gets me up so to speak either.

A lot of people see me and say "You're always in a good mood" and I literally am. I've somehow managed to distance myself emotionally from everything, to the point where nothing affects me anymore. Some people say it's a good thing, and sometimes it is, but it's like a double edged sword. Nothing can bring me down, but at the same time nothing can pick me up. I'm never overly excited about anything.

Anybody else like that? :lupe:

Thats me. Can't say what brought you to your situation, but I know simply growing up brought me to mine. I'm not where I want to be in life, and I see what happens to people every day, good and bad. The most happiness I can derive is from seeing how joyful kids are since everything is new to them. Im only 26 and I feel this way. It doesn't depress me, but you know....

Hard to be moved by anything.

How do feel about being apathetic? Is it something you want to change?

If it's fine, then that's fine.

Yeah, I want to change it. I mean, I feel like I'll never get to experience the true joys of certain situations. For example, contrary to the popular belief here, I'd like to one day get married. I honestly feel like I would be so swept up in the moment that I'd shed a tear, or 2 seeing my wife walk down the aisle. But if things continue the way they are, then I feel like I'd just be standing there like

What used to make u the happiest in life? Maybe get back to that. U still play ball? Whens the last time u been in a relationship? Maybe u just need to experience love again :mjcry:. Do u still hang out a lot wit ur friends or has the daily grind turned u into a loner like so many of us? Maybe ur jus missin those social interactions. As great as the coli is it cant make up for real human contact :mjcry:. Reach out to ur boys breh.

Having the desire to change is the most important step. It creates momentum and motivation.

1. Remember that you are not apathetic. You feel apathetic. When you label yourself, you close off room for growth. And feeling apathetic means that you can feel something. Don't compare yourself to others.

2. Think about things that once made you feel good, even the little things like a favorite snack or smell. Try to included them in your life.

You need to shake up your routine and do something new and different. This should go without saying but don't rely on drugs or weed to make you feel good these are just crutches and can be more harmful than beneficial. Exercise, and try to eat "live foods" like fruits and veggies, less processed/ GMO foods.

3. Throughout the day, just take time to observe things especially nature without thought or judgement. Just being in the present can help reset your mind and give clarity. Thoughts will pop up but don't chastise yourself, just observe the thoughts and just let them flow past. It's a form of meditation and helps give your mind rest and relief from pent up feeling and energy.

4. Work towards a goal. Is there something you always wanted to do? Breaking it down into smaller goals can help you feel positive. Making a little progress each day, helps give a boost of dopamine which is how we feel pleasure. Be proactive and stay busy, as soon as you think of something you can do, do it now. Don't put it off.

Get out more and make more friends from different backgrounds/races, go to new food places from different cultures, get a new hobby, listen to a different genre of music, etc. Change it up, you might find something that will change your life.:smugbiden:

Ive been there.. marijuana and music can really help to expand your consciousness. Try exploring new ideas, in the form of music and art, and see where that takes you.
Its all in your head breh.. lifestyle is everything, but by just picking up a few new habits you might feel like youre short-changing yourself.

Just relax cause all we've got is time, baby :wow:

Somewhere tropic...
You might be a sociopath :skip:
Try to find joy in simple things; working out, driving round with your system up loud, a good steak etc
