I'm not sure if the dividing line here is those that have navigated the corporate world vs those who haven't, fake militant syndrome or what but from a purely strategic perspective, this was idiotic. These days, employers are looking for any reason to take people's names out of the prospect pool. I would imagine a. Google search on this woman and discovering this may just factor in there. I'm not sure why people think a moment of satisfaction is worth potentially torpedoing job opportunities in the future. Even if she is 100% justified, its never a good look to let emotions override common sense. And common sense should tell you that making a scene at your graduation when you're about to go into a VERY competitive job market is not smart.
She could have gone to the local media and told her story, and tried to get it written about, gone to the school management with a complaint, etc. but that reaction is not "pushing back against those racist crackas!!!", it's sabotaging your future for a fleeting moment of gratification. And for what? What is she going to get out of it than a few people on the Internet saying "You go girl" that wont' give a fukk about her when she's not getting call backs.
