:deadmanny: at Complex getting the blame for this when it wasn't them who did the study...they tell you who did in in the first line of the article.

thats shame of them to pick out Beyonce when they know she can't read well.

This is so dumb.

A lot of songs are simple to just read. That isn't the point. Having lyrics that match a beat and articulating certain points is what takes it from just words on paper to an actual song people like. Not to mention a 3rd grade would only understand the literal meaning of the words they are reading but if you listen to it, you'll understand the underlying motive based on delivery.

Honestly, its a stupid content piece from Complex that they know will spread around because of the idiotic premise around it.

"In hip-hop, Eminem is leading the way with the most advanced lyrics
that mark just under a fourth grade level, while the likes of Beyoncé, Kanye West, and Chris Brown's lyrics are all found to be below that of a third grade reading level. Check out the infographics below to see more of the study's breakdowns."

Eminem has great songs like "Rock Bottom", "Lose Yourself", "Stan" & "Sing For The Moment", but for every great song he has about 10 bad ones that are some of the most simplistic bullshyt ever.
