What’s popping my Gs? I’m in the process of submitting beats to this upcoming artist. His brother is a major rapper but anyway……my question is how do y’all normally send y’all beats out? Do y’all send snippets of each? Do y’all send full beats? Do y’all tag your beats? What’s a good amount of beats to send? Have never really send beats out to anyone but nikkaz in my circle and a few coli peeps. I’m really a novice when it comes to this

I send 3-5 full length mp3s, tags only in the intro, and with a short intro. I name my beats like this Producer Name, Beat Name, BPM, and the Key of the beat. I also embed my email in the mp3 metadata.

Most serious artists will want the high quality Wav file and also the tracked out beat Wav stems.

So first send out just an MP3 with your tag and if they really want it then you send them the proper files once they send the bag!

It really depends who you are dealing with, some artists say just send me the full mp3. Others say send me some snips. In my experience most of them want the full mp3 because they may want to write the whole song then and there. It also depends on your goal at the end of the day, are you trying to get paid, now or are you trying for something long-term.

Don't get discouraged by non replies, just keep it moving, it happens a lot. That's one of the reasons I always advise producers to formulate their business online. No one will feed you when you get hungry except for you.

In my experience sending snippets is a good way for them nikkas not to fukk wit you no more

I'd rather send the full song, let them create and if they do something with it we can talk details
