People cant accept the fact that Hip Hop has evolved more from then just that street shyt. There is always something to talk about wether your from the hood or burbs. Hip Hop does not always have to talk about "how my life was living in the hood". So many great songs out not even mentioning it. We dont live in the past, we move in the present

The truth is that HipHop today lacks soul. I'm a young Hip Hop fan and that's the only problem with it. Soul is born from struggle and hardships.
It's the reason why out of all the big dogs. Kendrick is one of the few you can actually feel. He's one of the few that is actually from the bottom.

The hood kept Boosie, Gotti, Z-Ro, Gucci, pockets swelled up for years without any of them selling alot of records...and now Dolph, Glizzy, Migos etc.
And in the 90's...pre major label versions of 3-6, Cash Money & No Limit ate good off an entirely hood fanbase.
