Square lames are looked at as corny. No matter if they're from the hood or suburbs

I'm from a predominately black suburb. We had two types of people.

1. People who were honest about their background. People who didn't try to act any type of way, and just lived in line with their upbringing.

2. People who could not handle the fact they weren't from the trenches. Acted like idiots, embarrassed their families, and ran down to Detroit every weekend to get beat up, tossed through windows, and shot at like it was some kind of tradition.

Ironically enough...I did hang out in the hood with some people who worked for my old man. They called me shyt like "JCpenny" and joked about me being from the burbs, but it was light hearted ribbing type shyt. No one ever really gave me anything serious to worry about because I didn't try to act any type of way. We'd just hit up Omni...(Detroit nikkas know)...Smoke a little, mess with the hoes, and that was really about it.

Suburban life has many nuances..

You have suburbs that are majority black thats fcked up like any major city. Then you got suburbs with token blacks mixed in. Which ones you're referring to?

:mjlol: In my experience, it's broke mofo's from the hood who are mad because they grew up dusty and you didn't.
Perfect example of why kids who grew up in the hood think kids who grew up in the suburbs are corny, thank you for saying it.
The ones I met in high school would look down on you like they were better than you because their parents had more money. Or they would try extra hard to be down. Corny both ways .

In my experience, it's poor kids projecting their insecurities on to middle class kids, calling them names like corny and then hitting the picard face when the middle class kids clown back.

For me it was the opposite. I didn't know the suburbs were for people with more money until I got to high school and kids started clowning us about being poor and all that. Rich kids projecting their insecurities onto poor kids. Which is extremely corny. Then things went the way they went.
