look i'm well aware that the wwe talent pool isn't the best right now. in the grand scheme of things this is a very, very weak roster. especially compared to the 90's.

but everyone knows the biggest problem this team has is coaching.

no one is assigned to their natural position. no one gets to assume their natural role. no one gets put in a position to succeed. when guys do actually start coming into their own management tweaks it and fukk it up. it's a never ending cycle of mismanagement and horrendous play calling. in fact when the last time a vince mcmahon idea actually worked? roman reigns as the top guy? didn't get over. cesaro and heyman? didn't get over. new day as babyfaces? didn't get over. the fans literally had to chew that gimmick up, spit it out, and mold it into something else just so it could work on a conceivable level. and while we're at it let's turn lana the sexy rusian vixen into a dolph ziggler groupie, that will get over the moon

if this were any other team, the coaching staff would have been out on it's ass years ago. abysmal ratings for years, no big time marketable superstars, network subscriptions falling well below expectations, live audiences reacting in complete opposite of the intended manner around the country, top babyfaces getting booed out of the building, wrestlemania and the other major events being reduced to a standard show... the list goes on and on. this is a LAST PLACE TEAM.

On the real though, this is nothing but pride. Anybody else would be positioning himself to be as successful as possible through putting the best product in front of the camera and hiring the best people to do so behind the camera. It's crazy that since the boom period in the 80s, they're closing in on being mediocre/wack just as long as they've been great.

Actually the talent pool is excellent except for the pushes in the main event and the Bella stuff...Alicia Fox SUCKS too. She just can't work at all. But they got the guys who can wrestle on the roster but they don't do $hit with them. WTF is Cesaro being pushed down for while Blandy, Big Show, and Sheamus are protected like they are bringing in 4s and selling out arenas? Bryan and Cena are the only ones even REMOTELY close to filling arenas up..well Bryan does but Cena doesn't get consistent sell outs and never did..even at his hottest.

Cesaro, Owens, Sheamus can do alright with the right guy, Barrett is being limited to 4-6 minute matches, Zayn is injured, Neville is 100% legit in the ring, KENTA is no joke of course, Blandy is a standard worker that passes by, Cena does spot work and people think that's decent, Kalisto is AMAZING, Harper is a TOP NOTCH worker, Cody knows how to work, Kofi is a decent spot guy, Big E has found his groove, Rusev is one of the best in the business..and of course Daniel Bryan always raises the stakes no matter what. So all of this is in a arm's reach and not much is being done. Just Cena getting rematches and winning the US title back, weird Undertaker/Brock finishes that make no sense, still no decent direction for the IC title, Owens is floating, Cesaro is losing for no reason at all, Sheamus has NO BUSINESS being the MITB holder...where the fukk DID THAT COME FROM? Wyatt and Reigns feud SUCKS! People are making fun of the diva matches being booked but how the fukk does Cesaro take Cena to the limit and BARELY lose to him in the rematch but yet can't get one win over Owens? It doesn't add up. It's absurd. It's backwards.

As for the good ol days? We had tone of shyt....the Warrior/Rude feuds, Jake/Macho Man, the whole Mr. Perfect returning to the ring storyline with Macho against Razor and Flair, Jericho/Benoit/Angle, Rock/Cripple H, Rock/Austin, Benjamin/Christian, Eddie/Cena, Cena/Carlito, RVD/Jericho, etc.

What? No she wasn't. Her finisher is botched every single match, her timing is as bad as Kelly Kelly..she almost does nothing right except the Northern Lights Suplex and her tagging in and out.

I agree with OP minus the knock on the talent. I think the roster is pretty stacked with talent. One of the best rosters they've had in years, and definitely way better than the mid 00's when it was mostly mediocre OVW dudes. Otherwise

Think about it like this...

If Adam Bomb, Crush or Sid was around right now they'd be pushed through the roof.

People kill me with all this "talent" shyt. Cesaro is strong and he can do moves. But his ring psychology is trash. These dudes don't sell, they don't work body parts, they don't even walk to the back after the match like their hurt.

I would rather watch a Vader/Sting match from 93 or some shyt, even though they didn't do a lot of crazy high spots. The matches back then had drama and tension. That's something the product lacks today. Their is no drama, the whole thing reeks of "well this shyt is fake anyway so fukk it".

WWE has run its course. Wrestling is not like the NBA or NFL, where their only is room for one company. You need a revolving door of fresh ideas and cutting edge content.

That's why TNA disgust me even more than WWE. These fukking idiots coulda easily signed Balor, Neville, Owens, Generico, Gargano, Uhaa, and whoever else. These dudes coulda easily worked with PWG/ROH/NJPW etc. cause to take down WWE you basically have to have that old territory mentality. And share talent. They had the national platform and at least some name value and completely shyt the bed.

If they would have been able to build a halfway credible product. We would be more likely to see certain cats like the Dolph's, Barret's, Cody's of the world go over there an build with them. I'm ranting I know. But I agree with OP 100%.

shyt is horrible. Worse than WWF in 96. I'm watching old Raws on the network and I'm like, damn... This shyt wasn't THAT bad.
