It's the inner strength..
The last years we have seen the second Wu Generation slowly but surely picking up the microphone to follow their legendary fathers’ footsteps: Young Dirty b*stard (ODB), Young Justice (GZA), Young Prince (POWER), Intell (U-God), Shamel Irief (Masta Killa), Sha Buttaz (Method Man) and last but not least Sun God (Ghostface Killah’s son). From this new generation Sun God was one of the first to come out as an MC as he already appeared on Ghostface and Trife’s duo album “Put it on the line” back in 2005 on the track “Man up”. Though he had not yet appeared on the “718” album by ghost’s crew Theodore Unit the year before , he was quickly added to the group’s roster and later appeared on several of his father’s solo albums such as “More Fish”, “The Big Doe Rehab” and “Appollo Kids”. The first sign of the son aiming to step away from under his father’s wings was the “Homicide Housing” mixtape in 2011. Now, two years later, Sun God is finally getting ready to release his first solo project, the “Redemption” EP. We already got a little taste of what’s to come with the Youtube release of “What you want” but to wet everyone’s appetite a little more we interviewed this young upcoming artist to talk about his project and much more. Anyone seeking redemption … enjoy !
