I'm always trying to hone and improve my soft skills so I find some books to read on things like negotiating, networking, charisma, etc. I have access to LinkedIn Learning and I was listening to the topic on superconnecting last night and thought it was interesting. I took some notes on it and thought they may help.

This is dope. Networking is so much harder with two young kids. I think I’ll be more effective as they get a little bit older. Definitely subbing this

The thing is with me I'm good at socializing and building weak connections, but some people I don't feel compelled to actually meet with. I'm also pretty good at saying yes to a social event more than no. That overall has been a net positive for my career.

I'm going to try and make an effort to take people out for lunch and plan small events.

I've mentored people before also which gives me fulfillment. That is also a form of networking even though you're not getting a direct benefit.
