I'm watching Superman 1978 today, and man, this was really fukkin good...better than I remembered.

EDIT: back to back this dude flies from metropolis to california, stops a nuclear bomb, flies to the san andreas fault, STOPS THE BIGGEST EARTHQUAKE EVER, fixes the fault crack in the EARTH, flies to a busted train track, serves AS the track and saves all those people, flies to the hoover dam (or something similar), saves Jimmy Olson, REPAIRS THAT shyt by building a damn with his bare hands, hits the

Seeing as the report came from 'The Hollywood Reporter' I would say it's very likely credible but it still doesn't mean the movie will be a great movie.

That said, the current team at Warner Bros. Pictures has been on a roll of late with their decision making and marketing since the whole 'Joker' mess of last year so they've earned a bit of trust.

People worried about how many characters are in this shouldn't be

1. Some are likely just cameos in screen time
2. Gunn has had movies with more characters than this and everyone always gets their shine

Aint nobody going to a superman movie to see anybody other than superman, Lex, and whoever the other super powered villain is.

A superman movie with mostly super man in it, I'm down.

A super man movie cutting to Mr Terrific and Hawkgirl and Green Lantern every 10 minutes. I don't know about that.

Of course Gunns GOG movies had ensemble cast because GOG is an ensemble group and none of those characters are strong enough to carry a movie themselves so you actually need multiple characters for the movie. Superman is literally the opposite of that. He is arguably the most recognizable superhero of all time and should easily be able to carry a movie without having a ton of other dc characters in it.

I'll probably be there on day 10 or 20 but I know every time Hawk girl is on the screen I'm going to be like

People said Coates messed up his T'Challa Wakanda comic series so he'd probably mess up a Black superman as well. He'd likely make him a superc00n focused on "respectable" behavior and protecting cac interests.


What someone needs to do though is develop a Batman or Tony Stark like figure that fights against cac racial terror and protects Black people. Sort of like Malcolm X with even more power.

There is a black version of Superman that was created in the Dakota verse or static shock universe to you that just know the cartoon. If you ever heard of the comic Milestone, this is where ICON the black superman, Static, Rocket, Hardware , black iron man, the blood syndicate.

The real funny part is DC has right of first refusal for any movie made with these characters and has consistently blocked any creation of new properties with them in favor of fixing them within DC properties overall as bit characters.
