Before a trip I wake up and search the same routes every morning. Of all the things that factor into the price I'm 100% certain it was nothing to do with my prior search. There's a lot of factors, but to keep it simple the price went up cause there were less seats available than the last time you searched. The same way the price drops if you search right after they add a new flight.
