That’s right breh, losing the equivalent of 17 million school lunches that could’ve gone to poor children ain’t nothing to us

Gotta bomb them revolutionary Arabs standing up against racist CACS in Ysreal living off US tax dollars :smugbiden:

Hell it would’ve been even better if a few black soldiers fell overboard, considering they’re the main ones put on the front lines :smugbiden:

Spoken like a true American :smugbiden:
You'd sacrifice potentially hundreds of lives to fed 17 million kids for a day?

Guess people didn’t read…

They were dodging enemy fire… I rather lose an overpriced plane than the whole ship :unimpressed:

And they were in the middle of securing it and no crew got killed. shyt happens..

People don't realize how dangerous being on a ship can be. Considering that no one go KIA in this situation speaks volumes.

Why is a carrier in theater doing defensive maneuvers? The whole purpose of a battle group is to protect the carrier

It’s actually mind blowing how much people don’t know shyt that I think is basic af :mjlol:

Being on a ship is a whole different world and everyday is dangerous af and some dumb shyt might happen. This is why there are so many workups, training, safety checks, etc., that goes into just preparing for a deployment.

It’s not in the desert on foot dangerous… its different

Imagine Firefighters that also lived on their truck, were mobile, had guns, had planes, did transport, does aiding, can shoot nukes, and basically patrolled the open roads of the US.

Thats basically how I think I could best describe the Navy. So when a ship that size and that does all that has to make a sudden, sharp turn, shyt gets hectic :yeshrug:

For real. All it takes is a couple torpedoes and trying to escape a floating coffin. 8 months was enough for me. Living on a ship is not fun at all

$60 million sounds crazy expensive if you're a regular person, so its used in these headlines to raise eyebrows.

There are still "$60m jets" sitting around unused in Vietnam from 1975.

This is a non-story.
