TI calling out 50 to do a verzus battle was similar to when Jaguar Wright was calling out Mary J Blige to do a versus battle.
TI was never on that same level as 50 so ignoring him made sense. TIs best match up for a verzus would have been Jeezy or Nelly. 50s best match up for a versus would have been Eminem or DMX.

I timestamped the part in this Angie Martinez interview from 4 years ago where Angie points out that the next generation including the new batch of NYC rappers such as Pop Smoke and Young MA had 50 as their top inspiration. Music that aged like milk wouldn't do that. Also note that TI wasn't their go to as top idol or inspiration.
