Talent wise, how would you rank the following actresses: Eva Green, Ana de Armas, Elizabeth Olsen and Scarlett Johansson?

I can understand that
Those first three could all benefit from being in better projects. Eva has suffered the most with this, IMO. She has the chops, but she’s been in shytty films for the most part.

Olsen will probably win another Emmy for Love & Death and I could see her shining in more non-MCU films down the road. Ana will be popular next year as the new lead in the John Wick universe but I have no clue which direction she’s headed in.

Scarlett has worked with the Coen Bros, Glazer, Nolan, Wes Anderson, Baumbach, etc., and still comes off as having the acting range of a stick. Her best role to me was in Under the Skin where funnily enough she had went without speaking for majority of the duration. :skip:

I’d like to see what the other three actresses could do if they had those opportunities as often as Jo.

Yeah I think out of the four of them, Scarlett comes in fourth place
Maybe taking a break from films for a minute and working on something more intimate like a series for paramount or Hulu would work in her favor?

I don’t even think a break will change that. Marriage Story was very intimate. Some people are just destined to be mediocre actors.

I don’t mean to come off as a hater because Lost in Translation is one of my favorite movies ever and she’s a co-lead there, but that’s just how it is sometimes.

yeah, i agree. you either got it like that or you just don't and sometimes a role or a certain director can help you achieve better but sometimes not at all

yeah, .Lost In Translation seems to still be the bar she set for herself

Harlem
armas can't act. she will likely disappear from hollywood when her looks fade.
Oslen i think has a talent that can surpass her looks. she'll be getting love as the grandma in films when she gets old.
honestly not familiar with eva green.
scarlett can't really act either but she has a great voice, i feel like if she was ugly she probably still could've been a voice actress.
