Sure, but who's expecting anything out of trap rappers? Thats like yall who expect gangbangers to be freedom fighters.
they get heat as it is by going to jail and making dumb life decisions.

But even with that, the "gangster rappers" are out here putting more people on, addressing more issues, and calling out cacs more then these so called conscious rappers.

Take this however you want, but as a black man if i need someone to help my situation, im going to Gucci mane before ever reading one of talib's twitter rants.

:bryan: they only put on people that behave negatively and ignorant as them. They won't even put out someone on some J Cole or Kendrick level of art (and yeah, they marched against police brutality, too).

Gucci Mane will throw you under the bus if you display any form of high intelligence and level headed behavior as a black man. He only helps the ignorant get rich, to stay ignorant. He ain't Ice Cube or Chuck D level when helping out the community. And he damn sure wouldn't endorse your selfless imput on the well being of the black community,

And I know this from first hand experience

But I'll let you eat breh.

If you portray yourself on some Rizza Islam level of commitment to black people, he ain't got love for you.

You're proving my point. You telling me someone marched, Im talking about who's actually put on and helped alot of black people.

Where are you getting that gucci will "throw me under the bus" if im intelligent? Just because he has a brand of music that you dont like, that means all these people he put on dont deserve to be lifted out of the ghetto? And BTW, Jay z and Dre(along with other gangsters) put on Kendrick and Cole. 2 other gangsta rappers. So thanks for proving my point.

Put on in the music industry? Like Young Thug? OJ da Juiceman? Lil Uzi? They are upstanding people alright. A whole legion of people being followers and acting ignorant, is cool as long as they get paid :heh: that money>>> dignity argument, is how we struggle to find unity in the first place to fight against white supremacy.

And a lot of the trap rappers of today, aren't like the street rappers of the past. Not Hov. Not Scarface. Not even Big Boi of Outkast. In terms of outlook and what seeds they planted for the future.

Old thread but for context, Talib's mother is half West Indian(St Croix) and ADOS (South Carolina)

^^she married a dude from a St Croix background and had Talib's mother

his mother clearly passed on/is influencing his overly Pan-Africanist views, which is causing him to catch feelings over the ADOS faction/agenda

His father's people are all from the South (Virginia/North Carolina: I looked up/into his roots on familysearrch with the names in the passages below)

he basically grew up in an overly pan-africanist/hotep household which is evident by his given name
