It was always a scam from a group of dusty Marxists. There was zero transparency from the jump, but no one cared initially because there was an active movement going on and there will always be white liberals willing to give you money to absolve their sins. All the marketing for that shyt was clearly aimed at white people too.
The only money they handed out to community organizations went to LGBTQ orgs, specifically trans orgs. I got no issue with those organizations obviously but when you're collecting money for black people you should dole some out to orgs that impact more black people. Most of whom are not LGBTQ. But that's where we got into the "all black lives matter" bullshyt, which was the most ironic shyt ever.
This is why the focus should be on community organization. Not national movements run by questionable people. We have the resources to support urban farming, school lunches for black children, health clinics, community centers, etc. A lot of those orgs already exist, they just need money and volunteers. All those orgs could have used some of those tens of millions.
