I remember being a kid watching that, thinking it was just fun and games

As an adult, I get the gravity of the situation now. I see (and could always see) where David was coming from, it seemed like jokes (jokes I've been on the receiving end of, not taking covers away, but semi-embarrassing stuff) but it hit different now
especially with the culture we in now...it kinda makes me cringe seeing that now, but we lived in a totally different time back then, no excuse, but that's real.

Apologies should be given and accepted, I mean, we're damn near 30 years removed from that. I think it was handled appropriately back then

For those who havent seen the full convo they begin to argue all over again.

Yep.
If you see the full episode though you see how much that moment shaped David. They showed a preview for the next episode where they said David is still stuck in 1993.

And I think the reason for that is because he basically lost his career because of it. So in a way he's stunted and never really grew from it. Cause he lost everything and just feels bitter.

I really think if Beth didnt rile up Tami they could have hashed it out, it could have been a teaching moment and everything works out. However, once she started goin in and saying rape everythng went left.

Insignificant posting from an insignificant poster
I don't have speakers on my work comp today (or ever), but you can tell from the visuals... folks were triggered like chrono.

The hurt resurfaced something so sincere. And you can tell Tammie harboured resentment for all these decades.

Was too an adolescent when I first seented that episode and i didn't know how to feel as a child. I was simply sad that David was gone.

But then, in due times, we were treated to...

This David...

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
Damm they all aged like shyt

Compared to the NY cast they aged far worse
David still looks pretty much the same. Tami suffers from a sickness. Either way they all in they 50s now. Tami was born in 1970. To put it in perspective. David was wrong for pulling the covers off. I could see a teenager not getting the hint. But a grown man should’ve just chilled. And yea that other chick def threw sauce on it. fukk her for that. I could see both David and Tami’s side in it. It ruined his life when it could’ve been hashed out and spoken about.
