David still caught up in trying to be "right" with women. You can tell that nikka is probably gay asf and has no real experience with females. Its not about being "right", sometimes you gotta take that L when they extend that olive branch just to smooth over shyt.

Its plenty of times as a man when u gotta let them think they "won". It aint costing you nothing but a pinch of pride. Just be like ok, i feel your pain and move the fukk on

Yea I got the same thing. 2 months for 0.99 cent so thats why I watched it, lol. Its got all the real world's on there as well. I rewatched seasons 1 and 2 before starting this.

Yea she was talking about how she has black friends and takes a black dance class

They really tried to portray Kevin as the angry black man back in the day

Julie is really progressive now

Everyone on season 1 looked like they've grown except Becky. Kevin was trying hard to keep his composure with the things she was saying.

I remember being a kid watching that, thinking it was just fun and games


As an adult, I get the gravity of the situation now. I see (and could always see) where David was coming from, it seemed like jokes (jokes I've been on the receiving end of, not taking covers away, but semi-embarrassing stuff) but it hit different now
especially with the culture we in now...it kinda makes me cringe seeing that now, but we lived in a totally different time back then, no excuse, but that's real.

Apologies should be given and accepted, I mean, we're damn near 30 years removed from that. I think it was handled appropriately back then

Yea that was a pretty good one too… the only sad part about it was Kevin having Covid so he wasn’t able to join the cast. Would’ve been interesting to see how he meshed with the cast and his reaction to the shyt that went down. His energy was missing

Back on the show in 93 or 94...David and Tami (and the other roommates were joking around) and David started trying to take the cover off Tami when she said she was nekkid under them...

He kept going, even though she was saying stop (laughing while doing it but adamantly saying NO and holding the covers) even the roommates were in on it a bit too...but one girl was trying to use her body to cover Tami up...
It went on for way too long...David is talked to, the white roommates instigated, it was called "rape" (can't remember if it was Tami who said it was "rape") and he was kicked off the show...looks like he still dealing with it from the little clip posted

It’s crazy that David grew up with Dave Chappelle. Who actually got him the Real World gig in the first place. If that incident doesnt happen. His whole career turns out differently.
