Ehh I wouldn't party yet, we did the same thing with Schiano, they said they were gonna give him a 4th year right before we played the Saints to end the season, he got blew out against them, then they fired him and brought in Lovie Smith.

They prolly announced it now to see, how the team responds and depending on how they play, they'll see if they'll really sign that extension.

Honestly, I wouldn't bring him back, but if he does come back, he's gotta fire Mike Smith, his defense cost us at least 3 games this year alone with Buffalo, Green Bay, and the 2nd game against Carolina. Could say 4 with the 2nd Falcons game, but with how hurt we were before the game and then getting 10 hurt during the game, that's a 50/50 game

He's gotta either call his offense like he has been since Jameis has been back or get an offensive coordinator in there that call build off the current scheme. The offense still can't run the ball, but that's a talent on the o-line issue, but the pass game has actually been great except for Detroit game. He's completed 70% of his passes for 1200+ yard with 8 TDs to 2 INTs and a rating of like 100+ since coming back, the fumbling is still an issue cause he's either getting blindsided and losing the ball or he stays in the pocket too long trying to keep the play alive.

Licht got his fukkin' work cut out for him, cause they're keeping him as well for the last year of his deal.

We got damn near 70 mil in cap space, he better fix both fukkin' lines

Ye

Makes me sick to my stomach

This fake outrage for Lovie Smith needs to stop. He was a terrible head coach in Tampa. He was running the old Tampa 2 system, which clearly doesn't work in today's NFL. He also refused to switch up the defensive schemes and didn't want to fire his defensive assistants. When you're a defensive head coach who can't adjust game plans for today's NFL, the game passed you by. He needed to go.

And for what it's worth, he's doing terrible at the University of Illinois too :beli:

:stopitslime: The guy inherited a terrible team. 2 wins in his first season, then 6 wins the next season. How do you fire a guy with his resume after 2 seasons when the team improved by a large margin?

You can fire him, sure. But you gonna replace him for Koetter who will have less wins than Lovie did when he was fired? Nonsense.

I also don't give a shyt about College.

Did you watch any of the games the year we won 6 games? Because I watched all of them. We should've won at least 3-4 more games that year, but Lovie's boneheaded defensive calls & conservative coaching cost us. Koetter's offense was actually the best part of those teams, which is why the decision was to keep him. Let's not forget how he immediately traded Darrelle Revis to the Patriots because he wanted to run the flabby Tampa 2 instead of catering the defense to the best player on the team. Koetter also went 9-7 last year on the verge of the playoffs :dahell:

The problem with Koeter now is that he's too far in over his head. He needs to delegate the coaching to assistants, and he needs to hire a new defensive coordinator because Mike Smith isn't working out. Even with how much we shyt on Koetter, Tampa is still #4 in passing and #11 in total offense with a shytty offensive line and no running game whatsoever.

That's actually the scary part of the offense, we're doing all this with no fukkin' run game, a shytty o-line, and bad redzone playcalling, if they can fix 2 of those things, then the offense is gonna be :merchant: status

Supposedly Gruden was asking for 10 mil a year and full control of everything
He makes like 8 or something with plenty of freedom and per diem at Espn so that’s certainly what it’d take to get him away from there
