Tampa Bay area has a lot of businesses and various corporate headquarters are here. IT field should be okay, I myself am not in it. But people are eating where I work....

Fort Myers area doesn't seem as big tech wise. But its midway between Tampa and Miami has affordable housing....

A good area down to Naples....

I like west Florida ( Tampa down to Naples) though. .... I'm bias
