Deserves its own thread because alot of black people been tricked (myself included) into thinking these so called black media outlets are black owned when they're not. I used to get frustrated viewing articles on newsone that had white supremacist slants to them. Eventually finding out that its not black owned and controlled at all.

Just because something dies or leaves a void doesn't mean you can't start a new.

I started a music blog on obscure and unknown artists and video art and was getting tons of traffic within a year from countries I never even heard of. I went from simple writing little blurbs to actually attending my shows when artist would perform.It couldn't be more possible now that all social media is a essentially integrated.

Instead of this woe is me back in my day pity party, how about inspiring and encouraging the next generation of content creators and curators.
