Tbh Compton never really seemed like a bad neighborhood to me.

I live and traveled all over the east coast so I’ve seen and been to some of the worst looking hoods out there before but Compton has always seemed like a beautiful middle class neighborhood.

Y’all got nice houses, palm tree lined streets. I understand and know the history of why the area is so bad but it’s still crazy to me.

Los Angeles was built with a low density and a suburban car-friendly look during its housing booms throughout the 20th century. That's why even the hoods look nice.
