Yes.

If the climate was still that Me and Dwight Howard are considered the best 2 FAs that will be available in the 2013 FA class, and I know I would be offered the max contract by at least 4 other teams (Mavs, Sixers, Cavs, Rockets), why would I leave that money on the table by accepting less from the Lakers?

I would hope to make it through the 2013 healthy like I did through the second half of the 2011 season/the entire 2012 season and cash-in. Unfortunately, he suffered another injury, but he made the correct decision at the time.


Anyone can question the move now in hindsight, but during the 2012 season, were you saying that Bynum shouldn't have been looking for the max? Or that you knew he would be injured this bad again?
