TBS Exec Didn't Want Jericho's Stinkin' Ass On The ROH PPV.

Claudio Castagnoli defeated Chris Jericho at ROH Final Battle last weekend to become ROH World Champion, but it almost didn’t happen that way, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

TBS SVP Sam Linsky was originally against Chris Jericho appearing on a PPV. Tony Khan then booked Jericho to lose the belt to Claudio at Full Gear, but eventually TBS came around and the story was allowed to conclude as planned.

So they don’t want the Briscoes in AEW, but are OK with them on an ROH PPV.

They are fine with Jericho on an AEW PPV, but don’t want him on an ROH PPV despite being their most well known wrestler.

None of this makes sense.

jericho is not a draw. just because he was around 20-25 years ago, it doesnt mean that the casuals are gonna tune in for him. AEW keeps insisting on shooting themselves in the foot with this guy.

and technically, sting still wrestles, so he would be their most known wrestler.

they buried the product left & right, turned off ROH fans and gave casuals no reason to have any interest.
