Kids got it easy these days. Every playground is swanked out. Fancy sliding boards, a variety of swings, etc...but back then? Not so much
For instance, remember when that scorching sliding board on a hot summer day? Had to wait until almost sundown cause it burned the hell out of you.
Swings detached from the pole.....Also, when it rained, there would be a gigantic mud puddle at the end of the slide that would take days to dry. They don't have this problem now since everything is covered with those wood chips.
Still were good times, though
