Dammmm, Always rocked a jansport back in day.. I remember the middle schoolers would try to steal from the elementary school kids, remember putting my bag down and we playin before school.. I see my bag missing and them dudes running, I dont know what I was thinking but I ran after them, I chased them down the block and I guess they got tired and slowed down.. I grabbed my bag and I see it was one of my old neighbors and Im begging him give me my shyt back, Im like I know your sister, she my friend, lol..

I remember walking down the block with my bag happy as hell, I got my shyt back and didnt get my ass whupped..

Jansports were everything. I remember having the most different color strings was a status symbol. nikkas used to get their shyt stole, so nikkas would start burning the ends together. My mom used to be afraid to get it for

Jansport, beanies with the ear flaps, Guess jeans, First Down Coat (or Bear), and some Air Max was the uniform for everyone during my junior high year

I have a Nike backpack that I made my mom buy me when I was in 6th grade from K Mart. She talked all that shyt it'll just fall apart and she's not gonna buy another one when it does. How she should just me buy the Jansport. That was 26yrs ago. We still have that Nike backpack. Whenever she sees it she always smiles and says "Remember when you were little and I told you this bag wouldn't last?☺️". She used to use it to keep all of our childhood stuff in there.

It's so insane how dementia robs people of so much of their existence and memory but can hang on so tight to something so small. :mjcry:

Jansport was the only bookbag I had that didn't fall apart. Use the same one from high school, through college, and I still have it now, though I don't use it much. And I was one of those kids in high school that used to put all 10 of his text books in there, lol.
