Teams around the NBA are panicking over the OKC Thunder obtaining the LA Clippers’ 2026 1st Round pick in the NBA Draft Lottery

There’s a very real chance that OKC could win 70 games and a chip and then have 3 lottery picks in a loaded draft

Has any of them owed OKC picked converted to a high lottery pick? I know none of the Houston ones hit.
I know they drafted Jalen Williams but i think that owed pick was in the teens.
Shyt OKC probabaly scared of that pick. They anlready over the second apron by a nice margin next season and SgA new deal doesn’t even kick in yet. Just Chet and Williams.
They get that top pick and it gets hard to fill out that roster unless they eat that penalty and tax from the second apron.
But no team should be scared. They’re a good team but they aren’t no powerhouse like the Heatles or GSW. They’re just the most well put together team in the west. All the top teams in the west have flawed rosters. The only other team whose kind of well put together is the Spurs when they’re healthy

Fukk it, tank against the clips every game. Let them win 60 games.
Other way around...they are filling out the roster with young cheap talented players that could support the guys they have and possibly replace them if it comes to that. And if not they got plenty more coming. These nikkas are a real life 2K franchise.

Its hard to overlook the irony of them possibly becoming what we thought the Clippers were gonna be and the Clippers becoming what we thought they would be. Life comes at you fast. Nobody would believe this if you told them 6 years ago.
Lakers drafted Worthy with the top pick after winning a chip. Thats the kinda shyt that got us the Stepien rule in the first place. Now they gonna try to figure out another way to protect incompetent ownership.

They’ve already paid a couple of them dude though.
Chet, Williams. SGA, Joe and Wiggins, I believe, are already extended. They also just paid Caruso. The big 3 alone is already about 150. The slot for the top 3 picks is already mle money. Thats close to 200 mill tied up in just 7 players. Rockets couldn’t even keep their core together. They’re still trying to figure out how to keep Tari Eason but he’s more likely gone. That why they sign Finney-smith to hedge.
I dunno, as aRockets fan, they just don’t worry me. Rockets have played them competitively since Ime arrived.

I remember when those same teams were disgusted by OKC punting seasons to accumulate these picks
