Has any of them owed OKC picked converted to a high lottery pick? I know none of the Houston ones hit.

I know they drafted Jalen Williams but j think that owed pick was in the teens.

Shyt OKC probabaly scared of that pick. They always over the second apron by a nice margin next season and Shaq new deal doesn’t even kick. Just Chet and Williams.

They get that top pick and it gets hard to fill out that roster unless they eat that penalty and tax from the second apron.

But no team should be scared. They’re a good team but they aren’t no powerhouse like the Heatles or GSW. They’re just the most well put together team in the west. All the top teams in the west have flawed rosters. The only other team whose kind of well put together is the Spurs when they’re healthy
With the picks they got from LAC, OKC has drafted:

Tre Mann (2021), Jalen Williams (2022), Dillon Jones (2024) and Thomas Sorber (2025) with those picks.

Mann is in Charlotte.

Jones was traded to DC after the NBA Finals due to a roster crunch. But the Wizards waived him in final roster cuts in October. He's currently with the Blazers' G-League squad.

They’ve already paid a couple of them dude though.

Chet, Williams. SGA, Joe and Wiggins, I believe, are already extended. They also just paid Caruso. The big 3 alone is already about 150. The slot for the top 3 picks is already mle money. Thats close to 200 mill tied up in just 7 players. Rockets couldn’t even keep their core together. They’re still trying to figure out how to keep Tari Eason but he’s more likely gone. That why they sign Finney-smith to hedge.

I dunno, as aRockets fan, they just don’t worry me. Rockets have played them competitively since Ime arrived.
If you let money break up a chip, let alone a possible all time squad then you dont deserve a team :manny:.

OKC has so many young talented players and picks that none of the other apron stuff really affects them any time soon.

I get being confident in your squad and competitive but come on breh...if a 20-1 defending champ with everybody 27 and under and all kinds of future picks including some lottery picks coming doesn't worry you then what does?

Every generation. People try to deny what's right in front of them

Thunder are clearly on a 3 outta 4 4 outta 5 chip trajectory

NBA has always undervalued draft picks, which is why teams give em away like candy.

Often times, they don't amount to much....BUT....they can also be mega force multipliers if the stars align. OKC built a championship team and now they're about to potentially add more elite talent in what appears to be a loaded 2026 NBA draft. Very much a James Worthy to the Lakers situation.

The only reason people are iffy on it (I think) is because no one sees OKC as THAT SQUAD just yet. Like if this was peak GSW, Bron's Heat, Shaq/Kobe Lakers etc., it would jump out at people a lot more. Like imagine the 80s Lakers having #1 overall in the '84 draft with Hakeem and MJ sitting there.

Does OKC want to draft any of the top guys? Will someone offer them a current All-Star level player?

I don't think it's going to hit people until OKC wins again. If they hoist the trophy in June and get a Top 3/Top 5 pick....that's when the panic alarms will start going off.

I don’t think OKC is an alltime great team. The Pacers just took them 7 games and probably would’ve won if Hali stays healthy

I personally think it would be funny if they got a top pick from the Clippers :manny:
