Crazy how we get measured on AI usage now. If you are NOT using AI to do practically everything you are deemed inefficient. Our VP said on an all hands call that compensation will be tied to AI usage too. If you are “below the bar” (they love saying that shyt) you will not be eligible for comp increases or new RSUs

I’m in goddamn presales lol. Why do they care if we use AI

Today, my manager announced that he’s leaving the company on Thursday. It seems like he and the COO disagree on the direction of things. The announcement was vague, so I don’t know much. And I just don’t understand what happened.
The IT engineer on the team is now the team manager and they aren’t hiring a new person. Dude is going keep doing his current job while taking on manager duties.

some techies, who have ingenuity and aren’t screaming at the clouds about the ai bubble or ai overselling/flaws, will pivot from w2 to sole proprietors (w/ agents) and eat for a while
