What u think about the pattern? Is it too basic? And how about when the sample says "that's not real" do u think its off beat or would throw the rapper off?

agreed with the drums. they don't really fit with the vibe of the sample. the pattern is ok (although i don't love that double snare part). i think you need a punchier kick, the snare...i can't think of a specific "type" but experiment with other ones, and some more natural sounding hats would work better. or maybe try like a real metallic sounding hat (if that makes sense lol) and just lay them out on the off beats. just thinking out loud here.

Add reverb to make it sound more blended with the beat but I think you said it's not mixed so I guess you'll fix it down the road.
